"Good service-greeted in and out. I jad Tomyum Linguine set lunch, bit spicy and tasty. RM32.50 for a main dish,a small mushroom soup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serving was quick with nice interior, equipped with sockets everywhere. The wc is clean too."
"Hubby & I were looking for an old food market but it turned out it’s been shut down so we walked back to The Black Kettle Cafe as we’ve had a good coffee there before on a previous trip to Penang. I had the beef burger today and my hubby Michelin Curayed chicken chop. Both were delicious. My beef patty was so juicy abd tasty. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Hubby’s chicken was juicy and delicious too. We will be back for sure!"
"Nicely renovated. Huge interior space and good air conditioning. Loads of books to select to spend hours reading and sipping good coffee. Quiet most of the time and perfect getaway along the usual tourist route."
"Been there for coffee and cakes but this time for meal thanks to Vivo photowalk event. Soup, drink and main dish (as partially shown) were up to par, nice, acceptable and probably due to the number of dishes to be prepared for event participants, they were not as warm as you had ordered as individual patron. That being said, they were still good food and beverages =)"
"Passed by on a hot sunny day and decided to stop in for a cold drink to quench my dry throat. The moment I stepped inside, I was quite amazed by the beautiful décor, it’s rare to find such a spacious café in Georgetown. Ordering was done via QR code. I went for the Straits Sunrise drink and Aussie pancakes. The food didn’t take too long to arrive. The drink was really refreshing and tasted great, but the pancakes were just average, a bit of a disappointment. Service was a mix. The young Indian lady who attended to me at the beginning was friendly and very helpful. However, another staff member in a boyish look didn’t provide a pleasant experience, she seemed uninterested, spoke to customers and colleagues without much courtesy and didn’t smile at all. Even though the food and drink were quite good, I don’t think it matches the price and portion size. I spent around RM45, and honestly there are better options in this area for that price. Overall, this might be my first and last visit."
